Public notice is hereby given that the Perkins County Assessor and a voting member and representative of each of the following political subdivisions will meet on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, at 6:15 p.m., at the City of Grant Council Chambers, 342 Central Avenue, Grant, Nebraska, for the purpose of conducting a joint public hearing to receive public input on property tax requests proposed by the following subdivisions:

The only items on the agenda for this joint public meeting are discussion of each political subdivision’s intent to increase the property tax request by a percentage greater than the “allowable growth percentage” as defined in §77-1631, followed by a public comment period. Each political subdivision will adopt its budget at a separate meeting.

Perkins County taxpayers may be taxed by additional political subdivisions that are headquartered in a different county. Political subdivisions will participate only in the joint public hearing held in the county where they are headquartered. Please reference your postcard or the public hearing notice of the county where the political subdivision is headquartered for the date, time, and location of the joint public hearing.
